The Gobbler Tournament
On Thanksgiving weekend each year in October, the ARFC hosts a significant fund-raising tournament at Exhibition Park. New teams are always welcome. Visit our Gobbler Page for more details.

Fight Night
In early January each year, the ARFC runs a fund-raiser in which club members and friends agree to box for fun in 3 one minute rounds. The event began in 2003 and has been growing in popularity each year. See our Fight Night Page for more details.

Thursday Night Escalating Draw
Each Thursday night at the clubhouse at 10pm, one name is drawn from a pool of players or social members who have paid in full. If the winner is not present at the clubhouse, the draw escalates by $25 per week. The draw has escalated to over $300 before.

Molson Monthly Prizes
As part of our sponsorship with Molson, the ARFC receives a percentage of purchases made by its members. Save your Molson Receipts, put your name on the back, and bring them to the clubhouse. Every month a receipt is drawn and the winner receives a prize.

Super Bowl Party
Every year the Abbotsford Rugby Club holds a Super Bowl Party in conjunction with the big NFL event in late January or early February. The popular party typically includes food, prizes and entertainment.

Halloween Party
On the Saturday before Halloween, the Club traditionally hosts a Halloween bash where ARFC members and friends dawn their costumes of choice at the clubhouse each year.

Christmas and Year End Banquets
Each year the club hosts a few more formal events, usually the Christmas and year end banquets. The Christmas banquet in mid-December generally involves festive beverages and a few sing songs amidst the fun of the holidays. The Year End Banquet usually occurs in late April or May and involves the presentation of awards and a celebration of the season.

Sumas Huntingdon International Touring Squad
Each summer, the Sumas Huntingdon International Touring Squad (S.H.I.T.S.) travels to William's Lake and various other tournaments throughout North America. The group is comprised of Abbotsford players, alumni and friends. They are known for their uncanny ability to sniff out a good time and for the original theme and associated kit that they create each year for their playing gear.

Random Events
Throughout the year, the club holds various events such as random parties, mystery tours, car rallies, poker tournaments, recognition nights, and many other events.
